Dear Senator Jones.

I read your opinion article in the Post tonight and I think we are both on the same frequency.

Thank heaven for elected officials who fight for the middle class. We need more public officials like you.

One of your initiatives is to promote solar and wind energy development and I agree 200%. (That’s twice as much!)

The billion-dollar Xcel Energy corporation is required to buy back energy generated by solar and wind generators and to subsidize renewable energy development. That doesn’t go far enough. You should require Xcel to install enough solar panels and wind turbines to supply 100% of the energy used by consumers. After the capital cost is paid for, over 10 years or so perhaps, then the cost of energy would be zero. All the energy would be provided for free by Mother Nature!!!!!!!!!

This makes complete economic sense but the fat cats won’t go along voluntarily because they are driven by the PROFIT MOTIVE!!!!!!!! How can Xcel compete against “FREE energy”?

Please carry on. You have my full support. We see things eye to eye.

Tommy
